Summer Training Ahead, & Sk8Strong May news!

May 9, 2014

Hello from Sk8Strong!

Summer skating training is just around the corner. Have you made your training plans yet? This is a great time, with the break from school, to add to your off-ice training routine and keep your workouts consistent. Looking for some good cardio to train your stamina? Don't forget to use a slideboard, which has the best carryover to skating, as it uses similar muscles. Jump roping is always beneficial, and interval training on a piece of cardio equipment, to mimic the highs and lows of your program. Whatever you do, get the most out of your workouts and train to improve your skating skills. Questions about what to do? Ask us! lauren@sk8strong.com.

Sk8Strong seminars are booking for this summer. Have you thought about scheduling a half or full day workshop for your club or rink? We are thinking of hosting our own workshop in western Massachusetts this summer. Email me if you are interested in attending. Sk8Strong sends a big thank you to the skaters from the Gate City FSC in New Hampshire for a great seminar in April! For more seminar information, visit www.sk8strong.com/seminarinformation.html.

Don't forget to refer to our articles page for many off-ice training and injury related topics. Learn how to train safely and understand why you do certain training exercises to improve your skating skills. www.sk8strong.com/articles.html. Some newer links:
