Online Training

Lauren Downes, MSPT, of Sk8Strong, offers online training classes in both group class and individual format through the zoom platform.  Exercises covered can be from the following: core strengthening, functional lower and upper body strengthening, plyometrics, stretching, and dynamic warmup.  The focus is always towards skating specific exercises and injury prevention. Lauren will devise a plan that is specific to your needs and requests.  Create your own group and Lauren will set up a schedule and plan for your group.  Please contact Lauren at lauren@sk8strong.com or 413-262-7053 for questions.

If you are creating your own group (2 on 1, 3 on 1 training, or larger group), you may choose from a 30 min, 45 min, or 1 hour session.  Please contact Lauren for availability.

90 Minute Assessment and Home Program Development

Lauren will conduct a complete assessment of your flexibility, mobility, strength, and balance, using her background as a physical therapist..  Following the evaluation, she will create a personalized off-ice training program that addresses your weaknesses.  A personalized program will maximize what you achieve from your off-ice training program.  This option is appropriate for the skater who wishes to continue training on their own, without regularly schedules sessions.  Included is a downloadable copy of the Sk8Strong manual.

60 Minute Assessment

Lauren will conduct a complete assessment of your flexibility, mobility, strength, and balance, using her background as a physical therapist..  Following the evaluation, she will create a personalized off-ice training program that addresses your weaknesses,  which will be completed in subsequent training sessions.  A personalized program will maximize what you achieve from your off-ice training program.  This is appropriate for a skater who wishes to continue online training sessions with Lauren following the evaluation

Book a 1 hour session with Lauren and tailor it to your individual needs.  Lauren will contact you to schedule a time and to discuss a session workout plan.  You will be asked to download a short questionnaire following purchase, and please email the form to Lauren upon completion.  It will help Lauren identify  the most appropriate workout plan.

Create your own group of 5 or more people for a 1 hour training session.  The maximum amount of skaters is 10, and the cost is $12 per skater.  Exercises will include upper and lower body functional training, core strengthening, and plyometrics and will be tailored to the students' levels.
