Congratulations to the winner of the 2009 Sk8Strong Scholarship winner: Julie Query of the Sycamore Ice Skating Club in Indiana!!  Julie is a dedicated skater who plans to major in nursing or physical therapy at Butler University in the fall of 2009.  Julie impressed me with her outstanding essay, accomplishments, and ability to overcome adversity to advance to higher levels in skating.  Sk8Strong wishes Julie success in her career, and hopes she continues to further her career as a skating coach as well.  Congratulations Julie!!

The Sk8Strong Scholarship will be awarded yearly to a graduating high school senior who is accepted to a four year college and plans to major in a health related field of study.  Applications for the 2010 scholarship will be available in January of 2010.  We hope that the Sk8Strong Scholarship will continue to grow to reward many skaters in the years to come.
